Overview

FreeAudiobookLibrary is designed to help you discover and play audiobooks. This policy explains what information we process, why we process it, and the choices you have.

Information We Process

  • Usage and playback preferences: features such as shelves, playback position, and local exports may be stored on your device so your experience is consistent between visits on the same browser.
  • Service operation data: we may process technical information needed to keep the service secure, reliable, and performant, such as request metadata and operational logs.
  • Analytics: we use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors discover books, start playback, and complete downloads. GA4 collects page views and custom events such as book views and checkout steps. It does not receive your full payment card details. You can limit analytics collection through your browser settings or ad/analytics blockers.
  • Payment data: optional paid downloads are processed by Stripe. We receive your email, purchase metadata, and billing jurisdiction from Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on our servers. Applicable sales tax is calculated and collected by Stripe at checkout based on your billing address and our tax registrations.
  • Contact submissions: if you use our contact form, we receive your email address, message, and any optional book context you provide. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry.
  • Listening feedback: optional thumbs up/down on audiobook sections uses an anonymous browser identifier stored on your device. Individual scores are kept private and used only to improve audio quality.

How We Use Information

  • Provide core app functionality, including browsing and audio playback.
  • Maintain platform security, diagnose issues, and prevent abuse.
  • Improve product quality, reliability, and user experience over time.

Data Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for legitimate operational, legal, and security purposes. Device-local data remains under your control and can typically be removed through your browser settings.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose limited information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of our users and service.

Your Choices

  • Clear browser data to remove locally stored preferences and playback state.
  • Stop using the service at any time if you do not agree with this policy.

Contact us
